The project of Natural Hair Essentials was initiated by Lorri S. Dorce in the Fall of 2007. However, the business of Natural Hair Essentials, LLC was established in 2008.  Lorri’s vision for this project began in her own journey to chemically-free hair and realized that the level of knowledge and support was both scattered and limited.  Because of this, she began to conduct extensive personal research on the connection between hair products, chemical content and hair texture.  Through her notes, personal polls and surveys, she ended up with a wealth of information that she felt needed to be shared with the public.

With a Masters degree in Project Management, two small children with natural hair and guidance from her husband, she gave birth to her third child, Natural Hair Essentials, LLC.
